Buckfastleigh is a busy market town that is simply reached through the Devon expressway and has many excellent tourist attractions inside its boundaries. The biggest attraction is its abbey which provides an entrancing insight into the life of priests ; visitors can even sample some Buckfast Tonic Wine that is made of organic ingredients grown within the grounds of the abbey. There’s also a butterfly farm and otter sanctuary in the town which is a delight to visit. Visitors get the opportunity to view otters in their own habitat by way of specially built glass enclosures.
